We recently installed Hydroscand’s onsite container workshop at a Quarry in Leicestershire, which is now fully operational.
Anthony Baxter joined Hydroscand as a Mobile Hose Technician for our Nottingham branch in June 2021. He said: “The Nottingham branch have been working hard to install the onsite container, for our customer, based at the Quarry.
“I've had a strong relationship with the customer for about six years, but since moving to Hydroscand, we were committed to improving our relationship and minimising their downtime. This is important for a very busy Quarry that are running a wide range of big machinery.
“So, to our customer requirements, we've based the container on site to minimise downtime. The container is fully stocked, and we are now capable of assembling hoses up to 2 inch on site without delay. The container also has a Cat press, so we are covered for all types of hoses.
“I recently replaced a ¾” fuel hose and a 1¼” transmission hose without even leaving the site. A Cat 775 broke down on the main Quarry access road. On inspection, I found that the main fuel pipe from the pipe to the tank, had been rubbing on the main transmission hose, which resulted in both hoses bursting.
“I was able to replace the hoses thanks to our onsite container workshop. We had our customer up and running within 90 minutes.”
