Meet Corey Lewis. Corey joined us in November 2020 as an apprentice from CEATA, which is a dedicated engineering training academy specialising in welding, fabrication and mechanical engineering programmes and apprenticeships.
At Hydroscand UK we rely on staff who are well trained acquiring a broad range of skills, so we support Apprenticeships wholeheartedly and when the opportunity came up in 2020 for an apprentice to join us, it was an easy decision.
In the current environment, we think it is critical to encourage young people to learn skills and experience first-hand in the workplace. Hut here at Hydroscand we are passionate about training, so they can go on to take up skilled roles in businesses like ours.
Corey has been working with Jason Byrne, Branch Manager and Jason comments, “Hydroscand UK is primarily a service business and we are a team. Corey has settled in well and gets along with everyone he encounters at work. Corey has a good attitude to learning, and is keen to impress. He works well with other team members and is developing an understanding of the trade, organisation and the skills need to meet customer needs."
Outside of Hydroscand UK, Corey enjoys the outdoors especially mountain biking and spending time with his family. Corey says he enjoys the morale and atmosphere and it helps him work effectively.
