Hydroscand Plymouth are proud to sponsor Elburton Villa FC

It’s fantastic news that our branch in Plymouth is sponsoring Elburton Villa FC, showing great support for the local community and a passion for sport.

Elburton Villa FC was established in 1982 as a successor to Elburton Red Triangle FC. Kevin Treeby, Chairman of the club said: “We joined the Plymouth & District League and went on to win the Division One title in 1990–91. In 1992 the club were founder members of the Devon County League. The 1994–95 season saw the club win the league's Throgmorton Cup, beating Weston Mill Oak Villa in the final. We are now playing in the South West Peninsula League at step 6 in the Football Pyramid.”

Our team has a meaningful connection with the Club.

Aaron Wonnacott, Mobile Hose Technician, said: “As part of Plymouth Hydroscand I am happy to be sponsoring Elburton Villa FC. It is one of the football clubs I used to play for in my childhood days. My stepdad is currently the chairman of the football club. Adam and I had a chat about sponsoring the club due to us wanting to give back to the local community and Elburton was our first choice as it’s an amazing local football club, that’s trying to develop. It is also an amazing club to advertise Hydroscand to the local community.”

Adam Carder, Branch Manager, added: “It’s amazing to be able to give something back to the local community that we live and work in. It is even better for me to be able to support a team that, as a child, I played 8 seasons for, from under 8’s to under 16’s. Grass roots football is so important to me. Not only does it get kids outside, but it also teaches them key skills they can use in later life, like teamwork, coaching, and working to achieve a goal. I look forward to being able to take my kids to Haye Road to support the team from the side lines.”

Kevin said: “Elburton Villa are extremely grateful for the sponsorship of our team and look forward to building a lengthy relationship.”

Hydroscand is an ethical business with a long-term perspective. In all countries of operation, we contribute to local initiatives that support the communities we work in. This is a great example, and we are proud of the team in Plymouth for putting this idea into practice.
